Dr.Drago Goicovic

ABOUT THE PROFESSOR

Dr. Drago Goicovic lived and studied in China from 2009 to 2019, attending studies at the TCM universities of Tianjin and Guangzhou. He holds a Master’s degree in TCM, having completed his postgraduate studies at the Guangzhou University of TCM, working on the acupuncture treatment of patients with thyroid nodules at the Guangzhou Provincial Hospital of TCM for his clinical study. 

He is the second generation disciple of Master Hu . He is the second-generation disciple of Master Dong’s acupuncture & Dr. Hu Wen Zhi (the descendant of the first generation Tung acupuncture)

Dr. James Lu

ABOUT THE PROFESSOR

Dr. James C. Lu, PT, DPT, LAc, Dipl. OM, OCS, MTC, CSAS

Biography

Dr. James C. Lu is a licensed acupuncturist, physical therapist, and international lecturer who has been in the medical profession for more than 23 years. He has worked as the director of rehabilitation and senior physical therapist/acupuncturist in a variety of settings including hospitals and outpatient rehabilitation clinics. His primary experience involves integrative orthopedics, stroke rehabilitation, and pain management.

He holds a doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine and a Master’s of Science from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. In 2003, James completed advanced training in manual therapy and received his certification from the University of St. Augustine. In 2004, he was certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialty as an orthopedic specialist.

Throughout his studies and experiences, James found that by combining acupuncture with rehabilitation, patients gain their maximum potential of recovery with minimal pain. Since then, he has dedicated his career to this integrative treatment approach.

IIn 2011, Dr. Lu initiated the first outpatient acupuncture program in the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) and has extended the acupuncture services to the pre- and post-operative inpatient care for patients who have undergone cardiac and thoracic surgeries. In 2014, his integrative approach was introduced to the Bayshore Acute Rehabilitation to facilitate the recovery of stroke, surgery, orthopedic injuries and cancer support. Currently, in addition to seeing patients in his clinics, Dr. Lu also provides integrative acupuncture and physical therapy to patients in the inpatient rehabilitation unit of Good Samaritan Hospital, Mission Oak Campus in Los Gatos, California.

Besides specializing in orthopedics and stroke rehabilitation, Dr. Lu also has extensive experience in treating gastrointestinal, neurological, gynecological, and allergic disorders. Additionally, James is a National Champion in Chen Taichi for 5 consecutive years in China and the USA.

Dr. Richard Hazel

ABOUT THE PROFESSOR

Richard Hazel received his Master of Science in Acupuncture – Orthopedic & Sports Medicine at Pacific College in New York. The program focused on the location and treatment of motor points for the treatment pain and improved neuromuscular function. Richard has also studied Neurofunctional Electric Stimulation Acupuncture under Dan Wunderlich, LAc and the theories and methods of Dr. C C Gunn and Dr. Janet Travell. Richard’s private practice in NY focuses on treating chronic pains and injuries and improving performance by assessing muscle imbalances and decreased range of motion. He gets excellent results with only a few treatments necessary by keeping the focus on restoring the function of the limbs, joints or spinal segments, instead of attempting to merely treat local pain
